Several popular exchanges (Bittrex, Binance, Kraken) use a single Stellar account to store all customer holdings. In order to correctly credit the deposit into the balance of the customer, such services require customers to specify a memo (customer ID code) when making a deposit.
If the destination service (exchange or wallet) requires a memo, but you haven’t specified it when sending a transaction in StellarTerm, your money will not be returned to the sending wallet and won’t be visible on your exchange account automatically.
Destination wallet will receive your money, but you will need to reach out to the customer support of destination exchange/service and let them know that you forgot to add a memo. The customer support of the exchange should handle the issue and credit the deposit correctly.
Also, please pay attention, that sometimes it can take time to process your transaction on the exchange service side.
StellarTerm support will not be able to fix this for you as the funds have been already transferred away from the wallet.
So, in case you forgot to specify a memo when making a transaction, contact the receiver service and inform them about that. Make sure to include the hash (ID) of the transaction in question and any other details relevant to your transaction in your support request.
Please click on the transaction in the interface of StellarTerm to see detailed information about the transaction and get the transaction hash.
