Multisignature maximizes the security of your wallet and digital assets issued on the Stellar network.
We strongly advise against disabling multisig for your Stellar account.
We recommend you keep multisig enabled if you are concerned that your private key may be compromised or stolen and want to reduce the risks.
However, if you choose to remove multisig from your Stellar account, please follow the steps described below.
1. Select the 'Multisig' tab on the 'Account page' and click on the 'Remove' button next to the chosen signer key.
2. Approve the removal of a signer account by pressing the 'Remove' button.
3. Go to the LOBSTR Vault signer app or your multisig provider to complete the signer removal from your Stellar account.
If you had one signer, then the multisig protection should be disabled for your Stellar account.
If the main Stellar account has multiple signers, you may see a message in Vault that additional signatures are needed for the transaction to occur on the Stellar Network.
In case you need more signatures, the 'Success' screen will also display a transaction XDR. Collect additional signatures from other Vault signers or copy an XDR string and provide it to other signers to complete the process of disabling multisig on your account.
